You play Adam Jensen, an ex-SWAT specialist whos been handpicked to oversee the defensive needs of one of Americas most experimental biotechnology firms. Deus Ex: Human Revolution är en cyberpunk, stealth, action rollspel utvecklat av Eidos Montreal. Spelet är det tredje spelet i Deus Ex-serien, och är en "prequel" till det ursprungliga Deus ex som släpptes 2000. Spelet utspelar sig i 2027, 25 år före det första spelet i serien, i en tid då multinationella företag har vuxit makten utanför kontroll av nationella regeringar. Spelaren följer Adam Jensen, nyanställda säkerheten chef på Sarif Industries, ett växande bioteknik företag. Efter terrorister brutalt attackerar Sarif huvudkontor leder det till att Jensen blir dödligt sårad och tvingas genomgå radikala livräddande operationer som ersätter stora delar av hans kropp med avancerade proteser. Efter han har återhämtat sig återgår han till arbetet och blir indragen i den globala politiken om "human enhancement" i sökandet efter de ansvariga för attacken.

Till exempel kan ett misslyckat "hacking" leda till att spelaren måste starta en eldstrid och sociala färdighet kan leda till att spelaren får tillgång till vissa områden lättare än vad som annars är möjligt och därmed undvika behovet av "stealth" eller "combat". Valmöjligheterna i Deus Ex: Human Revolution är enorma och spelaren kommer behöva fatta svåra beslut hur man ska hantera varje situation.
Det enda som drar ner betyget på Deus Ex: Human Revolution är att spelets A. I har sina brister och boss fighterna är också väldigt dåligt designade och trista gent emot övriga spelet som är underbart. trotts detta tycker jag personligen att Deus Ex: Human Revolution är värdig att bära sitt namn och tillhöra en serie som bjuder på ofantlig variation och utmärkt cyberpunk stämning. Ifall du är ett Deus ex fan kommer du troligtvis inte bli besviken och ifall du är ny till serien är detta ett bra spel att börja hoppa på den.
