Originally released in 2011 for the Wii, The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD features the earliest story in the series timeline, including the creation of the masters sword itself.

In the earliest story in The Legend of Zelda series timeline, Link must travel from a world above the clouds to the great unknown below in his search for his childhood friend, Zelda. Armed with his trusty sword and shield, he must go up against powerful enemies, solve exciting puzzles and glide through the clouds on a large bird called Loftwing in this epic adventure.

When you play with two Joy-Con, they act as your sword and shield. Swing your right Joy-Con to make Link swing his sword in-game and use the left Joy-Con to protect him from enemies with the shield. You can also move other tools and objects using the motion controls in the Joy-Con, e.g. shoot with a bow and arrow or throw bombs.

For the first time, you can also play this adventure using the controls, allowing you to play the game on your handheld Nintendo Switch or on Nintendo Switch Lite. If you play this way, you can, for example, control Links sword using the right joystick.
