It is time once again for the Stardust Festival, held once every hundred years when the Mushroom Kingdom is showered in shining stardust. Receiving an invitation from Princess Peach, Mario heads for the castle accompanied by a stray star child he found wandering the cosmos. But when Mario arrives at the castle, its already too late. Bowser has harnessed the power of the stars and whisked the helpless Peach away. An epic cosmic quest to rescue Peach is about to begin for your Nintendo Wii, or on your Nintendo Wii U in Wii Mode.

The direct sequel to Super Mario Galaxy, released in 2007, this game takes the concepts of spherical platforms and the novel use of gravity and expands on it with new ingenious level design and fun features. As with the first game, players will travel far away from the Mushroom Kingdom, exploring an enormous universe populated with numerous galaxies, each with unique elements. Mario will shoot from satellite to planet, battle ingenious monsters and take on new abilities with new suits to save Princess Peach.

Some of the main new features include Yoshi joining Mario on his quest, new Rock Mario and Cloud Mario suits, Cosmic Guide to help players, and the structure of the game using a map similar to that of New Super Mario Bros. Wii.
