The second game fusing Harvest Moons traditional farming gameplay with fantasy RPG elements, Rune Factory 2: A Fantasy Harvest Moon follows a story arc that takes place over two generations. Players begin as Kyle, a young man who comes to Alvarna Village to begin his life as a farmer. Over the course of time, gamers must build and cultivate a farm, befriend fellow villagers, raise monsters, embark on quests, court a wife, and eventually continue the story as Kyles child. Rune Factory 2 makes use of touch-screen tabs so players no longer have to pause to access the inventory, and the game offers a multitude of different scenarios thanks to Kyles seven potential brides, and his son or daughters seven potential love interests.
