Medal of Honor Warfighter follows in the footsteps of the 2010 Medal of Honor game that took the series out of World War II environments and introduced the top American warriors. The players are taken out of Afghanistan and may continue to experience missions based on real attacks. This is Tier 1 on a global scale containing authentic hotspots and, in multiplayer, international Tier 1 operators.

Medal of Honor Warfighter follows the story of the American Tier 1 operator Preacher when he returns home only to find his family divided after his years abroad. In an attempt to piece together what remains of his marriage, Preacher is reminded of what it is he is fighting for - the family. When an extremely dangerous explosive, pentyl, enters civilian territory and his two worlds collide, Preacher and his team are called in to solve the problem. They attack the enemy and do everything in their power to protect their loved ones.
