Silent Hill Re-Mastered Collection combines two classic spine-chilling Silent Hill titles from the past and brings them to the PlayStation 3 for the first time ever. Silent Hill 2 follows the sad story of James Sunderland as he woefully enters the sleepy town by a mysterious letter from his deceased wife. Seeking the chance to see her again beckoned by guilt and remorse, he stumbles upon his these fears manifested through unseen evil and ominous characters leading him to the asylum of another world. The fight against the truth that his wife has died, James must escape the lumbering demon Red Pyramid (aka Pyramid Head) along with his mystified fears that have taken the form of living monsters within the haze that is Silent Hill.
Serving as a sequel to the original Silent Hill game, Silent Hill 3 centers on the forces of the demonic cult that spreads the insanity of the otherworld through Claudia, a cult member attempting to bring Harry Masons daughter, Heather, into Silent Hill. With a subplot and themes involving the loss of innocence and childhood, a web of intrigue is spun by Claudia with intentions to give birth to a new god.

Andra spel i denna serie
Silent Hill 2 och Silent Hill 3 är riktiga pärlor när det gäller skräckspel. Dessa spel visade oss hur smarta, störande, läskiga och insiktsfulla spel kan vara. Än idag så är dem spelen högt uppe bland mina favoritspel.
På grund av detta är det tråkigt att Silent Hill HD kollektionen till Playstation 3 inte är en hel produkt. Först och främst så finns det alltför många ljudproblem. Dels så kan det ibland komma upp olika effektljud helt utan anledning samtidigt som man spelar vilket kan bli väldigt störande eftersom att de inte alls passar in. Rösterna och ljudeffekterna i sig är ofta försenade under mellansekvenserna och det är otroligt irriterande det med.
Det andra som gjorde mig besviken var bildhastigheten. Till exempel så rörde sig en boss så otroligt sakta att hela utmaningen försvann och den var mycket lättare att klara av än i Playstation 2 versionen.
Och slutligen det allra sista som gjorde mig besviken med kollektionen var grafiken. I Silent Hill 2 till Playstation 2 så blev dimman tätare ju längre du kom ifrån den men numera är det nästan bara en solid vägg av en dimma som ser hemsk ut. Det värsta med detta är att du nu kan se oavslutade delar av spelet som det är tänkt ska vara täckt av dimman.
Men trots detta så är de båda spelen riktigt bra. Jag rekommenderar dock att spela igenom Playstation 2 versionerna utav spelen då jag själv blev mer skrämd när jag spelade igenom dem. I slutändan får kollektionen 3/5. Om grafiken och ljudet hade varit bättre så hade det fått högsta betyg.
